“I’ve Never Heard Gov Yahaya Bello Crying About Not Having Control Of Security In His State” – IGP

The Inspector General of Police (IGP); Usman Alkali Baba, was with the Governor of kogi State, His Excellency, Yahaya Adoza Bello on Monday 21st November 2022, on a working visit. According to reports by the Chief Press Secretary to Yahaya Bello; Onogwu Muhammed, the IGP heaped praises on Nigeria’s youngest governor.

The IGP said, “I’ve never heard Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello crying about not having the control of security in his state. I can say that Kogi state is no longer safe for criminals under his administration.” He added, “Governor Yahaya Adoza has been able to synergize and co-operate with all the security agencies in his state. He has also been leading from the front and he is a dependable ally in the battle against national insecurity.”

Speaking further, the IGP said, “people need to understand that security is everybody’s business. When someone leads at the front like Kogi state’s Governor, others will follow.”

Lastly, the IGP thanked Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello saying, “my sincere gratitude to His Excellency for being proactive about security. I cannot remember how many times he has visited the force headquarters in efforts to protect his people.”

GYB reiterated the readiness of his administration to resist attempts by some desperate politicians to plunge the state into insecurity through politics. He also not only thanked the IGP but also extended his gratitude to men of the Kogi State Police Command who are currently under the command of CP Edward Chuka Egbuka. Lastly, he thanked all other security agencies in the state who are making the state a safe haven.
