INTRODUCTION

The New Direction policy on agriculture is to produce food and ensure food security for the people of Kogi State, which would create employment including youth engagement and provide the enabling environment to generate a high proportion of GDP of the State from agriculture.

Through a private sector lead participation in the sector and the enabling environment provided by the Government, agriculture has not only become a lucrative venture, it is also contributing to the revenue base of the State.
