Asiru Idris is a Political Official born on the 22^nd December, 1975. He serving as the Commissioner for Finance and Economic Planning to the Kogi State Government.

He is an Accountant by profession with a degree in Accounting (BSc), Masters in Accounting from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria respectively. He also earned MSc Accounting form Kogi State University.

Asiru Idris has over 10 years’ experience in the financial sector (Zenith Bank Plc). He started as a Senior Executive Assistant and rose to become a bank manager in Zenith Bank, Obajana, Kogi State.

In 2016, he was appointed as the Commissioner for Finance and Economic Planning by Governor Yahaya Bello and reappointed by the Governor in the year 2020.

He possesses leadership qualities that has made him outstanding, dependable in the discharge of his duties. He is a committed, dedicated, result-driven and diplomatic leader and has shown absolute transparency, leadership skills and accountability as Commissioner for Finance and Economic Planning.

He has attended several professional courses. He is an Associate Chartered Accountant (The Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria, Association Chartered Taxation Institute (ACCTI)).

He is married and blessed with Children. His hobbies are reading, playing football, networking and travelling.
