Support Yahaya Bello for President.

Yahaya Bello is an acclaimed unifier. It is a well known fact that, for the first time in the history of Kogi State, the sharp, bitter division between the three major ethnic groups gave way to unity and harmony under the Governor. He united the tribes, starting from his cabinet, and today, everyone is first a Kogi indigene before being identified with his ethnic group. Nigeria needs a unifier now more than ever. The Governor is ever ready to build on the President’s efforts in this regard. How he turned the state from a notorious state, where kidnappers and criminals built empires, to one of the safest in Nigeria today and, conveniently, the safest in the north, is a question that has been on the lips of many Nigerians. Therefore, in terms of the main issues confronting the nation, Governor Yahaya Bello has excelled remarkably in Kogi State.

I’ll restore MKO Abiola’s vision for Nigeria.

Governor Yahaya Bello has promised to ensure that the legacies of the late MKO Abiola do not go to waste

Bello made the promise shortly after he made a declaration to run for the presidency in the 2023 general election

According to Bello, he will deliver all that Abiola planned for Nigeria to every Nigerian across the board

The governor of Kogi state, Yahaya Bello, on Monday, April 4, said he is contesting the seat of presidency in 2023 to restore the visions of the late politician and publisher, Moshood Abiola popularly referred to as MKO Abiola.

The Nation reports that while speaking with journalists in Abuja after his declaration to run for president in 2023, the governor who is contesting on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) also adopted Abiola’s 1993 general election slogan, “Hope 2023…Bridging the gap”.

According to Bello, Abiola’s vision can be actualised by leveraging on the foundation built by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Noting that the president had already acknowledged MKO Abiola by naming the National Stadium in Abuja after him, Bello said he hope to deliver to Nigerians that which they craved since 1993.

His words:

“In 1993, I was in the Senior Secondary School, when that particular election was conducted and our revered leader, MKO Abiola won that particular election.

“Thirty years after, that hope that Nigerians really crave for, that security, unity and prosperity are yet to be achieved.”

Rekindling MKO Abiola’s vision by 2023

He added that he believes that rekindling the vision of the late politician will help his team bring a turnaround to Nigeria and her people irrespective of religion, ethnicity, creed or class.

He said:

“Our people say that if you do not know where you are coming from, Nigerians go to bed, wake up and feel hopeless but I have come to Kogi State and I have restored that hope for the people of the state.

“That is what Nigerians crave for and that is what we are coming to restore by the special grace of God.”

Abiola’s daughter finally reveals why she accepted to lead Yahaya Bello’s presidential campaign

Hafsat Abiola, a daughter of the late MKO Abiola had revealed why she accepted to lead the presidential campaign of Governor Bello.

According to her, the Kogi state governor has the qualities needed to take Nigeria to the right destination.

She said one of the similarities between her late father and Governor Bello is their refusal to have political godfathers.

Thousands of supporters were in attendance at Eagle Square in Abuja when the governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, formally declared his intention to run for president in the 2023 general election.

The governor said he is ready to build on President Muhammadu Buhari’s achievements. He added that he would replicate what he did in Kogi State across the country if elected as president in 2023.

Bello also promised to eradicate poverty in Nigeria. He promised to achieve Buhari’s aim of lifting 100 million Nigerians out of poverty during his administration.

He added that 20 million Nigerians will be made millionaires by his administration if he is elected as president.

The former minister of aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, was also present at the event.

Hafsat Abiola-Costello, daughter of the presumed winner of the June 1993 presidential election, the late Moshood Abiola, has been named as Yahaya Bello’s presidential campaign Director-General.

2023 Presidency: Yahaya Bello’s Declaration Timely

As the 2023 general election draws closer, Dr Abdullahi Sanni Ozomata, a stakeholder in the All Progressive Congress (APC), has described the public declaration by Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello as timely and strategic for the success of his ambition.

Dr. Ozomata, who stated this on Saturday while speaking with newsmen in Lokoja, the Kogi State capital, described Governor Bello as the hope of a new and prosperous Nigeria.

Ozomata, who is also an APC aspirant seeking to represent Okene/Ogori Magongo Federal Constituency, said Nigerians deserve a President like Governor Bello based on his developmental strides in the State.

Ozomata noted that Governor Bello is not just a young leader with experience but dynamic, straight forward and a goal-getter which according to him are the qualities the next Nigerian President must possess.

He pointed out that Kogi State is regarded as the safest in Nigeria despite sharing boundaries with about 10 states is due to the security architecture put in place by the Governor.

The House of Representatives Aspirant stated that all sectors of the State have been transformed with every senatorial district benefitting from the legacy projects of the Governor.

Ozomata expressed hope and belief that Governor Bello will transform Nigeria if given the mandate to serve by replicating his feat at the State level.

“Nigerians have always desired to be led by youths especially the seat of the President which Governor Bello perfectly fit.

“Governor Bello has demonstrated capacity through the inclusion of productive youths and women in his government which makes him stand out and also endeared him to many,” he said.

Also speaking the Chairman, Central Working Committee of Dr. Abdullahi Sanni Ozomata Campaign Team, Alhaji Abdulrahman Aziz Obini commended Governor Bello for yielding to the call of Nigerians to contest for the seat of the President.

Alhaji Abdulrahman also said there is no better time than now, describing the Governor as the hope of a new and prosperous Nigeria.

He expressed optimism that Governor Bello will transform the country within the shortest possible time if Nigerians give him their support.

Gov Bello’s Presidential Declaration Is Hope Nigerians Crave For

A political support group, ‘Got Your Back Nigeria’, has said the presidential declaration of Governor Yahaya Bello which is scheduled for Saturday, April 2, 2022, was the hope Nigerians have been craving for.

The national co-ordinator of the group, Prof. Chris Mustapha Nwaokobia Jnr, in a press statement made available to journalists on Friday, said 30 years ago when it was a Muslim-Muslim ticket, zoning was not the issue nor was power sharing the debate.

Nwaokobia Jnr said it was a campaign popular in every respect and targeted at banishing hunger and making Nigeria great in 1993, describing the presumed winner of the June 12, 1993 election, the late MKO Abiola as an unusual person, a candidate like no other and a man of means beatified by his love, passion, benevolence and commitment to the common good.

He said it was hope epitomised by the late Chief Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola, adding that Kogi State governor, Yahaya Bello, currently represents same spirit, hence his a presidential aspiration for the 2023 general election.

“30 years after, the stage is set and the benevolent spirits are at work yet again. On our hands is a 46-year-old uncommon phenomenon. He says no to zoning, power sharing and ethnic cum regional politics. He says that Nigeria deserves more than the ‘turn by turn’ normative. That we must like the one that came 3 decades earlier ‘bid farewell to hunger and poverty’. He says that the HOPE that faltered in June 12 is yet alive and realisable. And like MKO he is better known by the initials GYB.

“In a matter of hours the Eagle Square in Abuja shall host a Declaration of Interest to run for the High office of President in a manner never before seen. Governor Yahaya Bello GYB shall be telling Nigerians at home, those in the diaspora and the entire human pilgrimage about the HOPE that must be made REAL. He is declaring his unalterable commitment and interest in the 2023 Presidential election. He wants to be the President of Nigeria come 2023, and he means business.

“Hope 2023 is a movement of Nigerians Young and Old, it boasts of great thinkers and ideologues, women and men of immense passion and faith in Nigeria, and has the DG of the HOPE 93 MKO campaign, Senator Jonathan Zwingina as one of the Leaders, Hafsat Abiola-Costello, the late MKO Abiola’s daughter as one of the leaders, and many reputable statesmen and women as the drivers. It is a New Dawn of great HOPE before us, this time anchored by the phenomenal GYB.

“With GYB we shall be building a nation beyond politics. We shall banish hunger and poverty. We shall cremate the politics of creed and clan, and water those of competency and capacity. With GYB it will be a new day of brotherhood and inclusiveness centred on equity, fairness and justice. With GYB government shall raise the margins beyond region and religion, and commit completely to the common good. And with GYB it will never ever again be business as usual. Indeed it will be governance and business unusual.

“HOPE 2023 is a broad movement of Nigerians committed to repositioning our dear Country for greatness and GYB is the face of the NEW DEAL”.

“The 2nd of April, 2022 is the moment, the day is here, the Train has left the station enroute the Rock called Aso, and the HOPE of and for a NEW, PROSPEROUS AND GLORIOUS NIGERIA is on course, Countrymen and women, together with GYB it will be A NEW DAY and A NEW DAWN for all. Hope Beckons,” Prof. Nwaokobia Jnr stated.

I will surely answer them immediately after our convention as the case may be,” Bello told newsmen in Lokoja two months ago.
