Rt. Hon. (Prince) Kolawole Mathew Olushola is the Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly. He studied Business Administration from the prestigious Kwara State Polytechnic where he bagged National Diploma, (ND) in 1993, Higher National Diploma (HND) in 1996 and Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) in 2004 respectively.

He started his career as a professional sport and event manager. Prince Matthew Kolawole organized the National Tennis Tournament in honour of some prominent personalities among whom were the former First Ladies of the Federal Republic of Nigeria; Her Excellency, Mrs Fati Abubakar, late Mrs Stella Obasanjo of blessed memory and Mrs Titi Atiku Abubakar in 20… The dogged and charismatic political leader was the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Achiever’s Event Management Nigeria Limited, Barclays Global Consult, African Event Management and currently the Chief Executive Officer of Golden Grand Groups of Companies.

In 2015, he was elected as a member of the Kogi State House of Assembly and soon became the Majority Leader of the house after the inauguration of the 6th Assembly. He was elected the 12th Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly on the 3rd August, 2017 and got reelected in 2019 as member of the assembly and Speaker of the KGHA.

Prince Matthew Kolawole also served as the National Financial Secretary, Conference of Nigeria State Legislature Speakers now the current National Treasurer of the Conference also he is an Executive Committee Member of Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA), representing North Central.
