CUSTECH to commence academic activity soon, take off infrastructure 90% complete – Kogi govt

CUSTECH Kogi State Government has notified that the Confluence University of Science and Technology, Osara (CUSTECH) would soon commence academic activity as infrastructures needed for appropriate smooth take off were 90% completed.

This was made known on Thursday in a press briefing by the state’s commissioner for Information and Communication, Mr. Kingsley Fanwo after the State Executive Council meeting chaired by Governor Bello.

He noted that the State Government was already Providing the operational requirement for the full accreditation of courses at the Confluence University of Science and Technology, Osara.

The Commissioner also added that council was also briefed by the Commissioner for Education, Hon. Wemi Jones that the institution was now ready for academic take off and that admission would commence in earnest to ensure that the first set of students were admitted.

Mr. Fanwo also noted that council similarly deliberated on the Bello Cares Scheme; an health Care Initiative and legacy program of the State government targeted at taking care of the medical needs of low income earners and particularly the health needs of pregnant women in a bid to reduce maternal mortality.

He noted that several institutions were already showing commitment to bank roll certain percentage of the needed fund which would allow beneficiaries access it while also revealing that the state government had released fund for its health Insurance Scheme as parts of its proactive measure to deliver quality health service at the lowest cost possible.
